Any of you that are interested in "Carima's Classes - Pay it Forward" scheme please inbox me. The general idea is that I will make deals to teach students who cannot make immediate financial payment.
I want my life to count. I want to teach whoever wants to learn. Yes, I have to earn a living, but if you are a student who can not afford to pay me now you can make an agreement with me to pay a different way instead b'ithini Allah.
Examples of such agreements are:
1. You agree to pay me my full fee when you have the money
2. You agree to pay me hour for hour at the going rate for teachers in Ireland in 5 years time or 10 years time - basically I help you now with your studies and you help me financially when I am old. (I'm nearly 50 already)
3. You agree to teach 10 muslims to read and write or pay someone to do it as and when you can afford it.
4. You agree to "sponsor" an Orphan on my behalf.
5. You pay an agreed percentage per hour and defer the remainder until later or do something else we agree upon that makes the world a better place.
6. You can contribute what you can afford to a fund that will be used to teach our members online who can't attend a physical class - this will cost money.
I am open to all suggestions. I am waiting for them - I'm particularly interested in planting trees, digging wells, establishing a library or a school, teaching Islam, stopping Female Genital Mutilation, establishing homes of Refuge where women who are not being honoured as creatures of Allah are fed, sheltered, clothed and protected from abusive men and abusive FAMILY members in particular. Also the person(male or female) who does not have a muslim family to make sure s/he is fed, sheltered, clothed, nursed, cared for, respected and protected.
At the moment I charge 400LE per HOUR. If we make an agreement for 10 hours tuition that is a debt of 4000LE that you are taking on, so do not jump at this offer. Please think long and hard, and pray for guidance, It is a genuine offer but such an agreement is a serious undertaking and will be written in a contract between the student and myself.
Too often Maths in particular is taught by a lay-person. If you are having trouble with Maths it is time to contact the experts.
Do not leave it to the last minute!
Maths is a practical subject that requires as much practical experience as any other science, using pen and paper instead of chemicals or a dissection kit. The only way to learn maths is to DO maths.
